Round up of JIAM 2008 Singapore

SINGAPORE, 06 June 2008
Since its debut in 1984, Japan International Apparel Machinery Trade Show (JIAM) has been triennially organized in Japan and globally recognized and acclaimed as an effective platform to showcase the latest technological innovation and set future direction for the apparel and textile industries.

Given that Asia is the world’s centre for apparel and textile production today, particularly newly industrialized countries in Southeast Asia and Southwest Asia, JASMA has decided to take JIAM out of Japan for the first time to Singapore which is strategically located with excellent connectivity to these targeted regions.

JIAM 2008 Singapore secured participation of 200 international exhibitors from 18 countries with a total of 1,130 booths.  These include pavilion representation from JETRO (Japan), JASMA (Japan), VDMA (Germany), CSMA (China), TSMA Pavilion (Taiwan), KOSMIA (South Korea) and SMTAS (Singapore).
